Depart Bangkok for Ampawa district, Samut Songkram Province, an important place involved with Thai history from the Ayuthaya to the early Rattanakosin period. Board on a long-tail boat to see Thai ways of life along the Ampawa canals. Then visit the temple of Wat Bang Kae Noi, where you will see beautiful wood carving and wood inlaid in wood depicting life of the Lord Buddha and visit Wat Bang Kung, one of the most important historical sites during Thonburi period. Visit the King Rama II Memorial Park. the birthplace of King Rama II where you will see a group of typical Thai houses which have been converted to a museum. Continue to Kanchanaburi. Visit the Bridge over the River Kwai and the Thailand-Burma Railway Center. Then proceed to Resotel pier. Board on long – tail boat to the Riverkwai Resotel . Overnight at THE RIVER KWAI RESOTEL or similar.
After breakfast, take a long tail – boat to the River Kwai Jung Raft. Visit Mon village and take an hour’s elephant riding in the forest, followed by bamboo rafting along the River Kwai to River Kwai Resotel. Afternoon at leisure to explore the natural surrounding or enjoy Thai massage (at own cost). Overnight at RIVER KWAI RESOTEL or similar
Morning, visit Lava Cave. Then transfer by boat to the Resotel pier and continue by car to Erawan National Park, 65 kilometers away from Kanchanaburi town. The park, covering 550-square-kilometers, is the site of the seven-tiered Erawan waterfall, one of Thailand’s loveliest waterfalls. The second tier has a pool, which is ideal for swimming and is particularly picturesque. Explore the waterfalls and the surrounding nature as well as enjoy and relaxing. After breakfast, drive to Ayuthaya. On the way, visit the temple of Wat Palelai in Suphanburi and continue to Angthong Province to visit the famous handicraft villages such as Thai dolls and traditional long drums. Arrive at Ayuthaya, then, visit the ruins of the temple of Wat Chai Wattanaram and Wat Yai Chaimongkhol. Overnight at the KANTARY HOTEL (studio) or similar.
After breakfast, drive to Bang Pa-In. Visit the Summer Palace of the former Kings of the present Chakri Dynasty including the temple of Wat Nivet Dhammaprawat, a beautiful Christian style Buddhist temple. Then, board on a luxury cruise for the return trip to Bangkok. Buffet lunch is served on board. Enjoy a 2-3 hours cruise along the Chaophaya River. After the arrival, transfer to the hotel.
