DAY 1 YANGON - ARRIVAL

Arrival at Yangon international airport. Meet & greet by your tour guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in. (Early check-in depends on official check-in Time and room availability and is not included in the rate.)

Optional Program:

Continue sightseeing of Yangon, Walk along Yangon river to see the busy harbour area, from where ferries leave for Pathein in the Delta and for upcountry towns along the Ayeyarwaddy river. Here are the highlights Botataung Pagoda, the pagoda is hollow from inside which makes it possible for you to walk inside.

DAY 2 YANGON – BAGAN

Breakfast. Early morning transfer to Yangon domestic airport for departure flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Today Bagan sightseeing tour starts with a visit to Nyaung U local market. Your tour will extend to the most significant pagodas and temples of Bagan. Stop at a popular lacquer ware workshops producing this most famous of Bagan handicrafts. Late afternoon, horse-cart bring you to half an hour to a sunset place, from which you can enjoy magnificent views over Bagan’s vast temple area around sunset time. Transfer to your hotel.

DAY 3 BAGAN - MANDALAY

After breakfast, transfer to Bagan airport for departure flight to Mandalay. Transfer to the ancient capital of Amarapura. En route, stop at U-Bein bridge and spanning the Taungthaman Lake. After that, stop at Mahagandayon monastery, residence to approx. 1,000 monks. From there, drive to the south entrance of Mandalay and visit Mahamuni Pagoda, housing the most revered Buddha image in Mandalay and Upper Myanmar. Check into your hotel shortly afternoon.

Later afternoon, arrive at Shwenandaw Monastery, once the home of King Mindon. Continue to Kuthodaw Pagoda, the ‘world’s largest book’. Finally, watch the sun set from the top of Mandalay Hill with sweeping views of Mandalay and its surroundings.

DAY 4 MANDALAY – HEHO – EXPLORE INLE LAKE

After breakfast, transfer to Mandalay airport for departure to Heho. Transfer from Heho airport to your hotel for check-in. Tour Kaylar village, Nga Phe Kyaung and Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda. Afternoon, stop at several workshops on and around the lake such as a cheroot (Burmese cigar)-making workshop and a boatbuilding workshop. Finally, stop at Inn Paw Khon village and visit one of the many silk & lotus weaving workshops. Transfer to your hotel.

Overnight in Inle (Nyaung Shwe / Inle Lake)

DAY 5 INLE LAKE – HEHO - YANGON

After breakfast, tour Kaylar village and Nga Phe Kyaung monastery. Early afternoon, travel by long-tail boat to the western shore of the lake. Disembark at Inndein jetty and visit the beautiful Alaung Sitthou area (Indein Temple Complex). Take time to explore the stupa complex itself. It’s also a great opportunity to take some exquisite photos of this unusual place. Return to your hotel late afternoon.
(Please note that due to safety reasons night transfers by boat on the lake are not allowed by company policy. Thank you for your understanding!)

DAY 6 YANGON – DEPARTURE

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Yangon international airport for departure flight. (Late check-out depends on official check-out time and room availability and is not included in the rate)

Optional Program:
In the morning, you can explore the city in a very special way: with the extra slow moving circle line! At the stop Kyee Myin Daing, you will get out and see one of the most beautiful station buildings of Yangon. Lots of interesting goods offered on the Shan Road market and maybe you buy here one last souvenir. You can enjoy the Local Tea House for a break time. A visit of Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, featuring a huge reclining Buddha image. Drive along Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake and on the east side make a brief stop to take some great photos.
