Arrive at Chiang Mai Airport, meet and greet by our local guide then transfer to visit Doi Suthep temple and 2 city temples: Wat Jed Yod and Wat Suan Dok. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. Afternoon, proceed to visit local handicraft villages at San Khamphaeng. Then, transfer to the hotel for check in & free at leisure. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Depart Chiang Mai for Mae Hong Son about 7 hrs. Then, visit the city temples in Mae Hong Son, including Wat Doi Kong Moo, Wat Jong Klang and Wat Jong Kham. Transfer back to the hotel for check in & fee at leisure.
Take a boat trip to visit Padong hill tribe, known as “Long Neck Karen” at Baan Nam Pieng Din. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, proceed to Pai. En route, stop to visit Lod Cave with a bamboo raft ride on the stream in the cave. Proceed to experience the way of life of the Yunnanese Chinese people in Santichol village also, visit Wat Nam Hoo that you can see water draining out from the head of Buddha image. Overnight in Pai.
Early morning, drive to Thaton. En route, stop to visit Chiang Dao young Elephant training camp (56 kms, away) in the morning to observe the elephants taking their morning bath in the stream before commencing their daily works such as pulling logs, pilling up logs and other interesting activities. Then, you will experience elephant riding to the jungle. Then, start your next adventure in a bamboo rafting trekking down a stretch of the Ping River. Lunch will be provided. Transfer to the hotel for check in & free at leisure. Overnight in Thaton.
Depart Thaton for Chiang Rai. Upon arrival at Chiang Rai, proceed to visit Mae Sai the northemmost trading border town between Thailand and Myanmar. It is a busy trading town where you can spend your time to shop for your souvenirs from Chiang Rai Trip. Local lunch will be provided. After fill-up with delicious Thai style lunch, proceed to the Golden Triangle Area, where the border of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet. Then, visit Chiang Saen (A.D. 1260), the ancient city of Chiang Rai, on the steep banks of Mae Khong River, opposite Laos. Witnes some magnificent and ancient ruins and temples. Transfer to the airport for the evening flight to Bangkok.
